Tracy L. Steedman is Litigation Section Chair of Adelberg Rudow. Ms. Steedman joined Adelberg Rudow as a member in 2016, focusing primarily on commercial construction litigation, contract drafting and negotiation and green building law in Maryland. She represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and design professionals, and municipalities in all areas of construction, including contract drafting and negotiation, pre-litigation dispute resolution, and all phases of civil litigation. She handles complex commercial construction disputes, including bond claims and mechanics’ liens, trust fund and prompt payment issues, impact and delay claim analysis, construction defects, and warranty issues on public and private projects. Her experience includes a wide variety of litigation, including fair housing disputes, condemnation matters, MOSH and OSHA citations, and bid protests. She has litigated cases at the trial and appellate levels in both state and federal courts. Ms. Steedman writes and speaks regularly on the subject of green building and construction law, contract negotiation and public-private partnerships.

Ms. Steedman is active with the American Bar Association’s Forum on Construction Law and the Maryland State Bar Association’s Litigation and Construction Law Sections. Additionally, she served as the President of the Women’s Bar Association of Maryland’s Baltimore City/County and Carroll County Chapter. Ms. Steedman is also active in several industry organizations such as the Maryland Construction Network and Associated Builders and Contractors.

Ms. Steedman is designated as a LEED AP™ by the U.S. Green Building Council. She advises clients on Local, State and Federal green building and regulatory requirements.
